Director, Growth Marketing
Lincoln, MA - Hybrid

As a Director of Growth Marketing, you will be responsible for planning and executing strategies that increase our clients’ donor base and drive digital revenue growth. This role focuses on a key portion of the pipeline (donor journey) - from initial awareness, to consideration, lead generation, and finally conversion. Utilize data as a key input to informing strategic recommendations.

Your Impact:

 

  • Develop effective strategies to address digital growth marketing objectives and goals, demonstrating capabilities in email marketing, PPC, Display/Programmatic, Remarketing, Social Advertising campaigns, SEO, GEO, CRO.
  • Collaborate with Account Management leadership on the development of growth marketing strategies.
  • Train and collaborate with key Account Management staff to ensure the smooth execution of overall digital strategy, and cross-platform integration.
  • Analyze data through individual ad platform analytics, Google Analytics and client-provided CRM data to help inform strategies and optimization recommendations.
  • Make recommendations for new campaigns and ways to scale existing campaigns into areas of new opportunity. Identify upgrade opportunities; participate in sales process.
  • Evaluate/Identify when creative strategy should be modified to better meet client requirements.
  • Regularly review clients’ existing marketing campaigns to identify opportunities and make pertinent recommendations for immediate and long-term strategic improvements.
  • Collaborate with and support Account Management leadership in the budget development process, and budget reforecasts.
  • Develop and participate in annual file audit, year-end review, budget and annual planning, quarterly business reviews and presentations.
  • Serve as key client contact for digital program.
  • Utilize a variety of channels and tactics to support growth marketing strategies (staying up to date on trends and new channels and incorporating as appropriate into the marketing mix): lead generation and lead nuture, email marketing (for new donor acquisition), event marketing, website optimizations to support SEO, GEO, and CRO, paid advertising, social media marketing, and marketing automation.
  • Understand how digital fits into the overall marketing mix and be able to effectively communicate and strategize how to evolve a client’s marketing mix to increase share of digital donors and digital revenue.
  • Collaborate internally to ensure effective execution and integration of strategies. Serve as a client-facing leader in client meetings and presentations.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in with minimum of 10 years’ experience in digital, fundraising and non-profits required, preferably for an agency or large national non-profit organization.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years digital marketing experience.
  • Expert understanding of PPC & SEM (including Google, Google Grants and Bing), display/programmatic, social advertising, SEO, GEO, CRO.
  • Experience successfully communicating the value of digital advertising and growth marketing to external and internal stakeholders throughout the advertising process (from pitch to reporting).
  • Experience giving creative direction, copywriting, and executing ad campaigns across multiple platforms (incl. FB/IG, paid search, display).
  • Experience with search marketing applications, tools, and web analytics. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience required; certification preferred.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Independently seeks out solutions.

Donor Ambassador - Part Time

The Donor Ambassador will be responsible for the execution of a strategy built and led by an Account Manager. This engagement strategy will complement, enhance, and help grow philanthropy on behalf of nationally recognized non-profit organizations. Through the delivery of a thoughtful combination of communications and interactions, this individual will ensure that donors are appropriately acknowledged, continuously cultivated for their support, and develop long-term relationships with our nonprofit clients that lead to continued engagement and support for great causes.

 

The Donor Ambassador plays a crucial role in deepening a donor’s connection to our partner organization. Reporting to the Donor Advancement Manager, but under the strategic direction of an Account Manager, a donor ambassador manages a portfolio of mid-level donors. The Ambassador functions as a seamless extension of the non-profit organization. Their primary focus lies in nurturing relationships and enhancing the donor experience by capturing in depth insights into giving interests, motivations, preferences, and personal details.

Your Impact:

  • Using a multi-channel approach (email, phone, text, mail) communicate and engage with a portfolio of approximately 1,500 Mid-level donors.
  • Identify the needs of high-value donors and execute engagement strategies that will retain their support.
  • Rectify or escalate donor requests and questions to management or the client team as appropriate.
  • Fulfill outreach expectations by responding to all donor communications within the expected timeframe, and complete weekly stewardship and cultivation assignments by established due dates.
  • Converse knowledgeably with generous donors from a broad range of backgrounds; leverage understanding of donor data and moves management to build relationships with a portfolio of donors.
  • Track engagement, progress, donor preferences, etc. by accurately documenting and recording data and tasks, while utilizing proprietary donor tracking software.
  • Participate in client calls and quarterly job training.
  • Conduct internet research on selected donors on an as-needed basis.
  • Complete quality control checks and extract data from outreach tools to be used in reporting by the manager.
  • Complete other tasks as needed relating to donor relationship management.

 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committed to providing professional, high-quality customer service to the donor community and non-profit partners
  • Knowledge of the fundraising cycle and the non-profit industry.
  • Experience working within Microsoft Office Suite- specifically Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with donor CRM tools such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, etc. preferred.
  • Experience within the fundraising, sales or customer services environment or equivalent volunteer experience desired.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.
